September Open Pottery Studio
With Ron Cole and Dede Shilling
September 2 - 30, 2026
Join us on Wednesday and Thursday evenings to get your hands muddy at the Pottery Studio! Open studio is great for makers that want to work with clay but don’t wish to buy and maintain pottery equipment. You can use this time to practice pottery technique or work on personal projects. Each session is 2 hours long and makers will have space to store work between sessions. Sessions will be hosted by a studio volunteer or staff who will provide basic assistance.
Open studio registration gives access to all sessions in this month and includes:
Use of glazes available at the Guild
2 kiln firings
You may bring your own mid-range clay*, use your clay from previous sessions, or purchase clay from the Guild.
*If you are bringing your own clay please check with us to make sure you are bringing the right kind of clay for the firings that we will do, typically we bisque at cone 04 and glaze at cone 6.
Coming from out of town? Contact us to inquire about overnight campus lodging options and costs.
Financial assistance is available. Contact director@grunewaldguild.com for more information.
