Suzanne Halvorson

Suzanne Halvorson has been a Bloomington studio artist/weaver and Bloomington Spinners and Weavers Guild member since 1977.  She became a charter member of By Hand Gallery in 1979- present.  She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Fibers at the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design at Indiana University, teaching weaving. She has taught weaving at Earlham College and Purdue University, as well as at HGA’s Convergence, Midwest Weavers Conference, Penland School of Craft, and she teaches annually at Ghost Ranch in New Mexico, and The Grunewald Guild in Washington State.  She has taught for countless weaver’s guilds and conferences across the United States, and has led textile trips to New Mexico, Guatemala, and Scotland.  Suzanne was the proprietor of Yarns Unlimited from 1997 – 2008.  Her work has been featured in HGA’s Shuttle, Spindle, and Dyepot, Handwoven, and Weaving for Worship.
