Susan Schneider
Pastor Sue was born and grew up in the Philippines, the daughter of Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod missionaries. She has a BA in English and a master’s in Secondary Education, as well as an M.Div. from Pacific Lutheran Seminary. Her first career was teaching English, and stories are still a vital part of her work as a Pastor. She has also worked in public relations for non-profit theatres, including The Goodman Theatre in Chicago. She was ordained in 2002, and has served as a pastor in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Washington, and now Texas. She is the founding pastor of Living Mosaic, a new ministry emerging from the former efforts of Kindred, Salem Lutheran, and Grace Lutheran in Houston. Sue enjoys making art (especially stained glass mosaics), reading (especially historical fiction), movies, being an aunt, museums, and fabulous fashion. She and her husband David Gipson, a free-lance theatrical lighting designer, have two cats and a passion for traveling.
