Oliver Igney
Oliver Igney is a visual artist from Cincinnati, Ohio. He creates in a variety of mediums, including watercolor, pen, paper collage, and oil painting— this multifarious work is united by a spirit of playfulness which he finds integral to life. Oliver’s work is informed by his queer identity, a love of nature, animals, and a whimsical outlook; he believes that fantasy is important for reality, and play is vital to happiness. Oliver graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in 2018 with a BFA in Illustration. Following his graduation he spent time in Ireland creating work inspired by Irish myth. He is now a freelance artist based in North Hollywood, California. Oliver finds joy in hiking, reading books and comics, going to the movies, gaming, and spending time with his partner and friends.
