Jill Ross
Jill Ross is a visual artist, writer, and poet who has experience as a studio artist, teacher, exhibiting artist, and published poet. For the past decade, her primary medium has been glass mosaic. She also works in clay and mixed media. Her mosaic art is incorporated into a project called “Making Wholeness From The Broken Bits” which focuses on integrating the wisdom between mind, heart, and hands. She currently lives in Napa, California.
Jill is a retired Pastor, Chaplain, and Interfaith Spiritual Director. Jill has spent her life expressing the Spiritual through visual arts, movement, and writing. For the past decade, she has made glass mosaics and has integrated them into her art practice through teaching.
Her work has been described as “colorful, whimsical, mystical, and inspirational.” She draws inspiration from nature and life experiences including travel, personal healing, prayer, and the simplicity of day-to-day life. She spent nearly a decade in Mexico City, and during that time lived out two dreams: seeing and making art daily, and living and working at the Lutheran Center, eventually becoming the Director of that justice-based Center.
