Jeanne Whitney

Jeanne Whitney has been painting with watercolor since she was able to hold a brush. She has specialized in people and objects that light falls upon and there is an infinite supply of those subjects! She is a Signature member of NWWS, also Woman Painters of Washington and the Portrait Society of America. She has taught at the elementary, college and adult levels for many years and at the John Campbell Folk School recently. She has won the Daniel Smith award and recently placed in The Portrait Society National Competition. Her most recent personal call is to write and illustrate for stressed and grieving families for which she has published A Seed Story or the Curious Odyssey of Cisco the Seed.
