This course is a long-weekend workshop, beginning on Thursday, September 10th and ending on Sunday, September 13th. Class sessions run Friday 9:30 am – 12:30 pm & 2 pm – 5 pm, Saturday 9:30 am – 12:30 pm & 2 pm – 5 pm with Open Studio Saturday 6pm – 9pm and additional programming on Thursday & Sunday.

In this class we will explore hand sewing as a meditative and contemplative practice. We will explore a variety of hand stitching techniques inspired by nature. Each class session we will gather, walk, stitch, and expand into ourselves and each other.

What creative modalities are used in this course?

Hand stitching, fabric collage.

What will class time be like?

We will learn a new stitch, practice fabric collage

Will I need to work outside of class?

No, but the studio will be open and available to you.

Do I need experience to take this class?

No experience needed. Long-practicing sewers and beginners welcome.
