Learn about the process of brewing and the fermentation chemistry that goes into making beer at home! This class will be hosted at Plain Brewing in partnership with the Guild. 

Class will take place at 10 AM on April 6th, at Plain Brewing.

The whole cycle brewing

Yeast and fermentation
Different ingredients
Equipment and the process – how equipment and ingredients are used

It is recommended that students come back for the afternoon to complete the full cycle of brewing that takes all day.
There will be beer sampling at the end of class!

No prior brewing experience is necessary to enroll in this class – just passion and curiosity to learn! 

About the Faculty

Mike Buck

Mike Buck has been the owner of Plain Brewing for the past 3 years. He has a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Western Washington university, and has 26 years of experience as a high school teacher. He taught biology, chemistry and FFA.
