This program is part of our Summer Program, beginning on Sunday (June 28) and ending on Friday (July 3).  This Open Studio will run Monday through Thursday, with additional programming on Sunday and Friday.

This open studio is a dedicated making space for students and alumni of Suzanne and Nancy’s weaving classes. Designed exclusively for those who have previously participated in their course, this session offers time, space, and studio access to continue working independently at the loom.

This is a non-instructional open studio; however, a studio facilitator will be available to assist with basic weaving questions and studio logistics. Students are encouraged to finish an in-progress piece or begin something new, following their own creative rhythms and interests.

The intention of this open studio is to extend the momentum, inspiration, and flow established in the previous week—supporting sustained engagement, experimentation, and connection within the weaving community.

Prerequisite: Completion of Suzanne and Nancy’s weaving class (alumni welcome).

What will class time be like?

Class time is not pre-planned. Students may use the class time as they wish to start or finish a project.

Will I need to work outside of class?

Yes. Given the nature of weaving, students will need to work outside of the “class time” to complete their projects.

Do I need experience to take this class?

Yes. This is an open studio without an instructor. Students must have completed Nancy and Suzanne’s class previously (any recent year so long as you feel comfortable without instruction).

What do I need to bring to class?

Students need to bring a project concept and willingness to work indecently alongside other makers.
