This week-long course is part of our annual Spring Sacred Arts (SSA) Program, beginning on Sunday, May 3rd and ending on Saturday, May 9th. Class takes place Monday morning through Friday morning, with additional programming on Sunday and Saturday.

Join Nicki Lang on a journey into the satisfying delight of palette knife painting with oils. From beginners to experienced painters, this class provides a wonderful opportunity to add a new set of tools to your box. In this class, Nicki will share with you her favorite tools and materials to work with and teach you everything you need to know to create a texture filled landscape from a photo reference. Nicki will offer guidance in selecting a photo reference, choosing your tools, mixing your colors, then laying on the texture.

What do I need to bring to class?

Clothes that can get paint on them. Keep in mind that oil paint takes a long time to dry, so you will need to have room to transport paintings home. Pizza boxes work great.
