Soul Collage®
With Laurie Rudel
May 7 - 13, 2023
Through the use of images from magazines, calendars, and personal images, the simple process of SoulCollage® offers us an opportunity to explore the many and varied aspects of our inner lives as well as acknowledge and honor our larger communities of family and friends. Over the course of our week together we will begin to create a “deck” of 5 x 8-inch SoulCollage® Cards that can be used for meditation, prayer, and reflection.
What will class time be like?
Together we will engage the practice and process of SoulCollage® as we create collaged cards that reflect various aspects of our lives.
Do I need experience to take this class?
All experience levels welcome, including beginners
What can I expect to create?
Each participant will have the opportunity to create up to 12 – 5” x 8” SoulCollage® cards. Each card will reflect some aspect of your life.
What do I need to bring to class?
Please bring a sketchbook or journal and a pen/pencil for notes and personal reflection. A pair of 5-inch precision scissors (Fiskar’s or CutterBee) will be helpful. If you have old magazines or calendars you are willing to have cut up, please bring them with you. You may want to bring paper copies of photos for family members, friends, pets, and places as these can be useful in the process of collage making. You will receive more details about this once you register.
