SSA Emergent Composition: Finding Meaningful Tensions and Balances with Given Shapes

The moment we begin making art, we are undertaking the work of composition.
Whether we are thinking about it or not, composition is elemental to art-making. In this class we will actively create composition in the context of acrylic mixed- media and collage.
I will talk about our approach, offer prompts for journaling, and demonstrate techniques. We will have time for sharing and interaction, as well as plenty of space for art-making.

Scott Burnett is a Seattle artist, musician and pastor. He hails from New York’s Ulster County where he was influenced by the Woodstock arts community.
