Embers of Hope: In the quiet spaces between us,
a flicker begins,
born from the hands that shape clay,
the voices that lift in song,
the brush that sweeps across canvas.
Here, where the river bends
and the trees whisper old stories,
we gather—not to watch, but to make.
To kindle what’s been dormant,
to spark what might yet become.
Art, like breath,
fills the spaces where words falter.
Faith, like light,
touches the unseen paths we walk.
Community, like fire,
grows stronger when shared.
Together, we are the flame—
rising, dancing,
casting shadows that speak
of all we’ve made,
of all we will create.
Each moment an ember,
each ember a way forward,
illuminating not just the road
but the hands that hold it,
and the hearts that light the way.

This fall, the Grünewald Guild invites you to join us for our 45th Anniversary & Fall Fundraiser Celebration Embers of Hope.
If summer’s Illumination was a spark, fall is the ember—steady, enduring, alive with possibility. In a world that can feel uncertain, the Guild continues to be a place where art and community kindle hope.
Together we will:
- Reflect on 45 years of creativity and connection through stories and images.
- Take part in a community meditation that invites us to notice beauty in our own spaces.
- Create a letter or small artwork to mail back to the Guild, reminding us that “the Guild exists wherever we make it.”
- Celebrate the embers of this year: a joyful summer program, new faculty and staff, beloved returning faces, and the generous support of our community.
We invite you to dress in your best illumination adornments and come ready to play, reflect, and tend the embers together.
The Zoom room opens at 3:45 pm PT for connection, with the program beginning at 4:00 pm. Let’s spark the future of the Guild, hand in hand, as we continue to make our way forward!
