Be-Jeweled: Fun with Jewelry (Session 2)

What will class time be like?: Class will begin with instruction. Then students will get time to work on their pieces with assistance from the instructor. The session will end with 15 min of cleanup time.

What can I expect to create?: Earrings, bracelets, and necklaces.

Do I need experience to take this class?: All experience levels welcome, including beginners.

What do I need to bring?: Optional: Broken, old, or thrifted jewelry you would like to use/work on. For those that would like to make beads out of paper or fabric, bring old magazines and/or thin scrap fabrics.

Come join us for an evening jewelry-making workshop where you will assemble earrings and make beads with found objects!

This class session will include a demonstration of how to assemble jewelry with metal findings, jewelry-making tools, and various types of beads.

Students will also have the opportunity to learn:

  • How to make their own unique beads with fabric and paper
  • How to repair broken jewelry
  • How to up-cycle broken, thrifted, or second-hand jewelry and beads into new designs
